10.5.1 Certification Requirements

Certification must be accomplished prior to the site performing actual data collection.
PSG data collection certification is awarded upon demonstration that the technician has:

• Basic understanding of study objectives and protocol for HeartBEAT.
• Understanding of equipment and application of specific sensors to be used for the HeartBEAT PSG acquisition.
• Demonstrated compliance with the study protocol for PSG data collection and data transmittal via ftp to CSRC including removal of identifier information and correct re-identification with participant ID.

In order to obtain PSG data collection certification the following items must be met by the individual to be certified:

• Attendance at Central Training.
• Submission of two acceptable overnight (non-subject) Embletta study, one APAP recording using the HeartBEAT equipment and recording protocol.
