Hi there,

I am aware that, currently, MESA and HCHS/SOL datasets have both PSG and actigraphy data, but I could not find a way to synchronize the PSG and the actigraphy data in any of these datasets.

Is there anyway to know when the PSG started being recorded and align it with the actigraphy data?

Thanks in advance,

Joao

Joao,

HCHS/SOL does not have any overlapping PSG and actigraphy data - these visits were a couple years apart. MESA does have a lot of overlapping data, but you can't do this automatically because we had to strip identifiers, including dates, from all the datasets.

I will send you a link to a supplemental dataset that will assist you in linking concurrent PSG and actigraphy in MESA.

Thanks,

Mike mrueschman@bwh.harvard.edu

Hey Mike,

Would you be able to send me the same link to assist in linking the PSG and actigraphy in the MESA study?

My email address is mitu.patel@mail.utoronto.ca

Mit,

Sure, I will forward you the conversation I had with Joao, which contains a good deal of information about linking MESA PSG and actigraphy.

Mike

I condensed the information about overlapping PSG and actigraphy in MESA and posted some guidance for users at this link: https://sleepdata.org/datasets/mesa/pages/actigraphy-introduction.md
