STAGES _1, _2, etc. EDFs

Hello,

Do you know what the EDFs are with _1, _2 extensions? They have daytime timestamps for the whole day but sleep staging (N2, REM, etc.). For example, see STNF00003_1. I am mainly asking since there is a subject that has no PSG without this extension and I would like their PSG. I am wondering if I can use STNF00199_1 since there is no STNF00199.edf .

I believe these are multiple sleep latency tests (MSLTs).

Check out the "STAGES PSG Upload Form 2020-08-30 Final deidentified.csv" file here https://sleepdata.org/datasets/stages/files/original/De-identified%20Data/CRFs - it has columns indicating the type of PSG(s) performed.

For STNF00199 the file indicates "true" to both diagnostic PSG and MSLT, however it doesn't appear as if we received the diagnostic (overnight) PSG.

I was wondering about that (that these are MSLTs) but the recordings seem to be continuous throughout the day. I will take another look. That is great if these are MSLTs.
