Childhood Adenotonsillectomy Trial

2.1 Purpose

Anthropometry is performed for the CHAT study to assess secondary aims of the study, including: a) The relationship of changes in growth to early surgery (EAT) vs. Watchful Waiting with Supportive Care (WWSC) b) a comparison of the effectiveness of adenotonsillectomy in children who are overweight vs. other children. To accomplish this, all children will have the following measured at the baseline, 3 month, 7 month, and 12 month examinations: height, weight, and waist, hip and neck circumferences.
