Greet participant and ask PAT questions (see Peripheral Arterial Tone (PAT) Script).
Explain test to participant and explaining that we can stop the test at any time.
Have patient lie down and apply a BP cuff. Ask the subject if s/he can lie down comfortably
for the next 20-25 minutes? If not, do not perform the test. If able to participate, place the BP
cuff on the non-dominant forearm of participant well above the elbow. The cuff should not be too
tight or too loose.
