3.3.5.4 Ending the Study

Ending the Study

1. Inform participant that you are about to end the study.
2. Click STOP. Probes should automatically deflate. The Recorded study will close and disappear from the screen.
3. Remove the probes and anchors from the participants’ fingers.
4. Detach the probes and marked as “used.”
5. Wrap tubes around the device.
6. Turn off machines if there are no further tests that day.

Disconnecting the PAT Probes

1. Press down on the tab of the probe that protrudes through the connector.

   

2. Pull the connector away from the probe.

NOTE: If the participant requests that the test be stopped, immediately disconnect all equipment and record reason on log sheets and in adverse reaction logbook.
