10.1.3 Preparing the Embletta for Home Recording

  1. Place the Embletta into the leather holster.
  2. Attach the soft pad to the back of the Embletta.
  3. Thread one end of the elastic strap through one of the handles on the holster.
  4. Encircle the soft pad flaps around the proxy
  5. Place the sensor wires into the cable holster

All external sensors connect to the proxy inputs. The Proxy Input is Color coded except for the nasal cannula which is located next to the proxy.

  1. Attach the EKG pads to the snap wires.
  2. Plug in the thermistor and nasal cannula and secure together with tape.
  3. Attach the Nonin oximeter to the probe with the Flexiwrap in application position.
  4. Secure the cut ends of the belts into the belt locks.
  5. Place two new AA batteries in the compartment.
  6. Provide the patient with the Participant Instruction sheet for home reference.
